Farewell, neon felt tip pen!

The laptop has undergone a transplant operation. Following the reappearance of the fluorescent felt tip pen screen, Hubby finally got fed up of being accused of breaking it (symptoms always appeared after he'd been using it, what can I say) and took action. He bought a new ribbon cable for the screen and poked around in the insides of my silver lap-warmer. And now the screen is fixed forever (I hope). Hurrah!

Poking about inside laptops scares me. I can build a desktop myself, but the idea of jamming all that into a space only an inch high makes me uneasy.

SG I really do hope that's the end of my laptop blues. I've been really pleased with it, apart from the screen of course!
Ah Ghosty that is why I have a Hubby. He does all the scary technical things. He builds desktops too. He says lots of "big words" (that's what the French call cussing) when he's doing it. :)
